Songa Migrational Camp is designed for one purpose, to place you in the heart of the Great Migration at exactly the right time. Moving between the Northern Serengeti near Kogatende and the remote plains of Maswa Kimali in the southwest, the camp follows the ancient paths of wildebeest and zebra as they surge across Tanzania in one of nature’s greatest spectacles.
Life at Songa is deliberately simple, refined, and deeply connected to the land. Spacious canvas tents are thoughtfully positioned for privacy and views, with comfortable beds, solar lighting, and en suite bathrooms that balance authenticity with comfort. There is a quiet elegance here, where the focus remains firmly on wildlife, landscape, and the rhythm of the day rather than unnecessary excess.
Days revolve around expertly guided game drives that place you close to the action, whether that is dramatic river crossings in the north or vast calving herds and predators on the open plains of the south. Guides are highly experienced, reading the land and the movement of animals with precision, ensuring every drive feels purposeful and rewarding.
Between game activities, the camp offers a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Meals are generous and unfussy, served communally beneath open skies or by lantern light, while evenings are spent sharing stories around the campfire as the sounds of the Serengeti drift through the darkness.
