Small ship luxury in the Galapagos

Quasar's M/Y Grace - Galapagos

The M/Y Grace is an authentic classic adventure yacht for those seeking to explore the Galapagos in true style. Her tastefully designed cabins offer total comfort with full en suite bathrooms, plenty of space to unpack, and elegant styling which blends her rich heritage with modern day luxury.

M/Y Grace was commissioned to be built in 1928, during the Great Gatsby era by Camper & Nicholson in Southampton, England, and served as the personal yacht for the rich and famous high powered industrialists of the day. She served in the British Royal Navy during WWII and played an important role at Dunkirk, captured a German torpedo E-boat and even has an unconfirmed sinking of a U-boat to her credit. Later, she was presented her as a wedding gift to Prince Rainier and Princess Grace of Monaco, who spent their honeymoon getaway on board. She certainly has a stellar history!

Today, the M/Y Grace is one of the finest expeditionary cruising vessels in the Galapagos, perfectly restored and converted for supreme comfort and unrestricted wildlife watching. There are three levels on which to relax outdoors and under shade while inside, the yacht is fully air conditioned. The main saloon, where your guide will give presentations on each day‘s activities, provides a relaxing environment with a full entertainment centre. An onboard boutique carries both necessities and souvenirs. Onboard dining takes place in both the dining room and al fresco on the rear deck, and at sunset, happy hour is a highlight atop the sky lounge bar, often accompanied by leaping dolphins and rays. The sundeck and sizable jacuzzi provide the perfect spot to warm up after snorkelling.

The M/Grace boasts an astonishing history and a glittering guestbook spanning many decades, but she has now begun a new era in her rich history and perhaps her best days are yet to come as an icon in the Galapagos Islands.
