Arrive to Santiago, Chile and check into Le Reve, in the chic Providencia district, for a two-night stay. Appreciate the French design and stunning garden, perhaps relaxing for your first afternoon and evening. In the morning head out with your guide and explore the best of Santiago, perhaps the Centro Cultural Palacio La Moneda located in front of the Presidential Palace, some of the fine arts and pre-Colombian museums, or even on foot exploring the streets, markets and colours of the city.

Next head to the Torres del Paine and awe-inspiring Patagonia for a four-night stay at Tierra. The lodge offers magnificent views of Patagonia’s iconic mountain peaks of Torres del Paine. With your private guide and while in the area you can undertake all sorts of half and full-day excursions, with minimal or maximum effort, such as hiking to the base of the three towers, kayaking on Lake Grey, horse riding at Entre Lagos, or perhaps taking up some fishing in the nearby surrounds.

Head North for a few hours drive to El Calafate, across the Argentine border and check into Xelena hotel for two nights. Right on the banks of Lake Argentina, one can enjoy the views of the Andes in the distance and simply relax, or use the time and location to explore the majesty of the Moreno glacier.

Continue north bound with a two-hour flight to Bariloche where you check in for three nights at Estancia Puema Hue, in the Lake District of Patagonia, and on the isolated shores of Lake Gutierrez. Enjoy your wooden rustic lodge with fireplace and activities such as kayaking right from your doorstep, or horse riding which is special here. Steeped in unspoilt nature you might like to walk about and hike through some of the property’s 500 acres of virgin forest, up o impressive waterfalls and to take in the surrounding stunning views.

Further along, journey to the Paris of Latin America, Buenos Aires and right in the heart of the privileged Recoleta neighbourhood sits the Sofitel. A three-night stay here allows you to explore the best of perhaps Recoleta neighbourhood with your guide and some time at leisure to explore as you wish, to venture to trendy Palermo, and perhaps for a day out to the Pampas.

Fly up to the Falls and take in the mighty Iguaçu on a two-night stay at the Melia, the only property within the Iguaçu National Park on the Argentine side. Admire the majesty of the Devil’s Throat, its enormous fall, and undertake activities such as viewing the Brazilian side of the falls, getting wet on a boat adventure, and perhaps flying over on a helicopter! While in the area, spend a day visiting the San Ignacio ruins, the best preserved ruins of the 16th and 17th-century Jesuit Mission, the site now World Heritage declared by UNESCO.

Return to Buenos Aires for one final night back at the Sofitel, maybe explore more of the nearby parks, museums, galleries or shops, and your journey comes to an end.

19 UNFORGETTABLE DAYS

DAY 1 | SANTIAGO | 2 NIGHTS

Arrive to Santiago and check into The Singular for a two-night stay. After freshening up, head out with your guide in the afternoon to explore the highlights of the city.

DAY 2 | SANTIAGO

Head out with your guide to explore the atmospheric port city of Valparaiso. Explore its old town, colonial buildings and wander about the steep and winding narrow cobblestone alleyways, take the city’s UNESCO ascensor and enjoy the galleries and all the colour on offer.

DAY 3 | TORRES DEL PAINE | 4 NIGHTS

Fly from Santiago to Punta Arenas, then road transfer approximately 4.5 hours through breathtaking scenery to reach Tierra Patagonia. Check in and the remainder of the afternoon and evening is at leisure.

DAY 4 | TORRES DEL PAINE

Enjoy a range of activities in the Torres del Paine National Park such as hiking, walks, horseback riding, biking, scenic voyages and special interests such as kayaking on Lake Grey, fishing, or birdwatching.

DAY 5 | TORRES DEL PAINE

Head out and take part in more activities offered by Tierra such as hiking to the base of the three towers, sailing to the grey glacier, horse riding at Entre Lagos, or biking at La Porfiada.

DAY 6 | TORRES DEL PAINE

A further day allows for more outdoors activities in the area such as biking the Canadon Macho, horse riding at Estancia Lazo, or hiking to Paso de Agostini.

DAY 7 | EL CALAFATE | 2 NIGHTS

Road transfer after breakfast for approximately 3.5 hours to El Calafate, crossing the border into Argentina, to check into Xelena. The remainder of the afternoon and evening is at leisure.

DAY 8 | EL CALAFATE

Morning at leisure to enjoy your accommodation, perhaps the pool or spa, before meeting your guide to drive to the glorious Perito Moreno glacier in the afternoon.

DAY 9 | BARILOCHE | 3 NIGHTS

Fly to Bariloche and check into Estancia Peuma Hue. Afternoon at leisure or perhaps choose to walk about the property and explore its numerous waterfalls and creeks, mountain trails, forests, valley and lake.

DAY 10 | BARILOCHE

At the estancia enjoy activities such as horseriding, boat rides, fly fishing, kayaking, trekking, or perhaps relax with wine tasting and a massage.

DAY 11 | BARILOCHE

Further enjoy the activities onsite such as birdwatching, yoga classes, a cooking class, swimming (for the brave!) or more hiking, kayaking and fishing and horse riding.

DAY 12 | BUENOS AIRES | 3 NIGHTS

Fly to Buenos Aires and check into the Sofitel Buenos Aires Recoleta, located in one of the city’s best neighbourhoods. After freshening up, head out with your guide to explore the city’s highlights such as La Boca, the birthplace of tango.

DAY 13 | BUENOS AIRES

Full day at leisure to explore Recoleta or trendy Palermo. Visit some of the city’s boutique shops, art galleries, museums, parks, cafes and restaurants – the choice is yours! This evening you are collected by your guide and taken to La Faena Hotel for dinner and to watch the Rojo Tango show.

DAY 14 | BUENOS AIRES

You are picked up early this morning and taken to the outskirts of the city to visit Tigre and the Delta of Parana river, the vast region among the world’s largest deltas. Enjoy a boat navigation on the vast maze of canals and tributaries, stop for lunch and admire the local inhabitants. Return to Buenos Aires late this afternoon.

DAY 15 | IGUAÇU | 3 NIGHTS

Fly from Buenos Aires to Iguaçu and check into the Melia, the only hotel located within the Iguaçu National Park. The remainder of the afternoon and evening is at leisure for you to enjoy the property’s onsite facilities such as the pool, or perhaps walking about the grounds of the hotel.

DAY 16 | IGUAÇU

Enjoy a journey taking part on The Great Adventure – explore vast jungle before boarding a boat to navigate the lower Iguaçu River, heading towards the waterfalls and enjoying the rapids, getting you also soaked! Late this afternoon enjoy a helicopter over the falls, further concreting your incredible experience.

DAY 17 | IGUAÇU

A busy day awaits! Leave the property early for a lengthy drive to San Ignacio to visit the 16 and 17th-century Jesuit Ruins, declared by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site in 1984.

DAY 18 | BUENOS AIRES | 1 NIGHT

Return to Buenos Aires by flight and check in again at the Sofitel. The afternoon and evening is at leisure for you to further explore Recoleta, perhaps stop in at the cemetery to view Eva Peron’s grave and to later dine in one of the city’s fabulous restaurants

DAY 19 | INFLIGHT

After breakfast your journey comes to an end. Inflight or continue your arrangements else where in South America.
