This adventure begins in Victoria Falls where you can follow in Dr Livingstone’s footsteps and discover the stunning Falls themselves. There is also time to take a sunset cruise on the Zambezi River, a heli-flip over the Falls and enjoy a walking tour of the Falls with spectacular views of the gorges below.
You will then join a light aircraft flight to the incredible Hwange National Park. There is so much to see in this park. You will enjoy great safari walks with your trained guide, as well as heading out on night safaris looking for hyena, leopard, porcupine, and spring hare – all out and about at night-time. During the day there are areas of the park that get wonderful sable and eland antelope on palm-dotted plains, plus there is a very good lion population here and if you are very lucky you might find painted dogs. The star of the show however is Hwange’s huge elephant herds, which you are likely to see daily.
Next you will enjoy a lovely flight over Lake Kariba to Mana Pool National Park. Mana is known for its abundance of wildlife, right on the Zambezi River with wonderful views across to the blue mountains of Zambia. Your camp is right on the banks of the Zambezi with fabulous views over the rivers flood plains. This safari destination includes 4WD game drives, thrilling safari walks and canoeing on the mighty Zambezi itself.
From Mana it is a short flight to Lake Kariba and the perfect way to end a safari. Set high on a ridge overlooking the Lake there are spectacular views. There are also plenty of activities offered, such as cruises on the lake, game walks, fishing, and game drives. There are some very large herds of buffalo in this area, and you will get the chance to see pods of hippos on the lake and crocodiles on sandbanks.

12 UNFORGETTABLE DAYS

This itinerary provides the perfect framework for a spectacular journey, but it is an example only. All journeys will be individually designed and quoted on a case by case basis.
DAYS 1-2 | VICTORIA FALLS | 2 NIGHTS
Arrive in Victoria Falls and spend time exploring the Falls and the local craft markets. There is plenty of time to take a bird’s eye helicopter flight over the Falls, enjoy drinks on a sunset cruise up the Zambezi River or an early morning canoeing expedition along the banks of the river.
DAYS 3-5 | HWANGE NATIONAL PARK | 3 NIGHTS
A short charter flight to Hwange National Park to spend 3 nights at your safari camp, enjoying morning and afternoon game drives as well as special nature walks with your trained safari guide. This is a wonderful park for elephants and large lion prides.
DAYS 6-8 | MANA POOLS | 3 NIGHTS
Enjoy a scenic flight across Lake Kariba to your next safari camp at Mana Pools, right on the banks of the Zambezi River. Take a short canoe trip to look for hippos, crocodiles and animals bathing. This is a great environment for walking with your armed safari guide and enjoy 4WD game drives to look for a variety of antelopes, birds, lions and many other species.
DAY 9-11 | LAKE KARIBA | 3 NIGHTS
Your final stop is a short flight away; Lake Kariba, with your safari lodge perched high on the hills overlooking the lake. There are large herds of buffalo, lions, elephants, giraffe, zebra and kudu, to name but a few species. Head out on a walk, a lake cruise and a game drive. If you feel like it you can also go fishing for the fighting Tiger fish, or head to a local village to explore.
DAY 12 | END OF SAFARI
Your safari ends today either at Victoria Falls or Harare, where you will connect to you onward international flight.
